Cutimed Sorbact swabs and ribbon gauzes are very compatible with hydroactive dressings, e.g. to ensure a moist wound environment, as long as Cutimed Sorbact has direct contact with the wound bed and the secondary dressing does not contain any fatty substances (e.g. paraffin, ointments or creams). » top of page

with wound rinsing solutions?
Yes, Cutimed Sorbact can be used with ringer or saline solution. Also compatible are commonly used wound irrigation solutions based on octenidine (e.g. Octenisept®), hexamethylene biguanide (e.g. Lavasept®), or ethacridine (acrinol, e.g. Rivanol®). » top of page

another dressing?
There are no known contraindications for Cutimed Sorbact absorbent pads, swabs or ribbon gauzes.
To achieve an antimicrobial effect in the wound, Cutimed Sorbact must have direct contact with the wound bed. Therefore it must be applied as the primary dressing and never as a secondary dressing. » top of page
